Dr. Thakran graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Since then, she has completed a one year small animal rotating internship with specific training in emergency medicine, surgery, internal medicine, and oncology, and has worked in various positions in small animal general and emergency practice. Her interests include dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, and dentistry. She enjoys counseling owners on all stages of life, from pediatrics to ways to improve mobility and quality of life as patients age, and end of life care. Dr. Thakran also has a background in business and accounting from her undergraduate studies and was a member and club officer of the Veterinary Business Management Association in veterinary school. She is excited to be bringing her wealth of experience to Murrieta Oaks as the new managing DVM!
Dr. Thakran is a native to Southern California but spent the greater part of her adult life in Central and Northern California. In 2019 she moved to the Temecula/Murrieta area and couldn’t be happier to be living in one of the most beautiful regions in the state. Outside of work, she enjoys wine tasting, cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Her furry family includes 2 dogs and a very overweight (I’m working on it!) but stunningly beautiful cat named Pippin.
