Dr. Geruntho recently graduated from The Ohio State School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2021. She brings with her all the latest knowledge and ideas being practiced in the veterinary field. Her passion is behavior medicine and strengthening the human animal bond and how both those things tie into general preventative veterinary care. Her other interests include feline medicine and internal medicine.
From her own pets, Dr. Geruntho has spent many hours with the OSU behavior department and has picked up many helpful tips and tricks for managing various behavior problems – and how to try and prevent them early on – with various environmental enrichment ideas, positive reinforcement training methods, low stress handling techniques and the occasional behavior supplement and/or medication.
Dr. Geruntho grew up on the East Coast in New Jersey and went to her undergraduate studies at Ithaca College in upstate New York. She has slowly made her way to the West Coast since then and has so far loved every second that she’s been in this beautiful state – and she for sure does not miss the snow and below 20 degree weather! Outside of work she enjoys everything from visiting various zoos and using her amateur photography skills to take photographs of the various animals to relaxing at home with her cats with a good book or video game.
